I am creating a number of molecule headbands for the March for Science on April 22, 2017. It didn’t make sense to write each one as an individual pattern when the base headband is basically the same each time. Therefore, I am happy to share knitting instructions for the generic headband base. This stockinette headband is perfect for adding a duplicate stitch molecule or incorporating a colorwork chart with stranded knitting.

The pattern provides instructions to adjust the height of the headband so it can fit any of my molecule knitting charts (or any other chart you’d like.)

As written, this headband fits my 22” head perfectly. The final headband measures 19” around and 3” deep.
