Genevieve is a pretty little one skein scarf with a lovely cable design. It is made one to end adding elements as go you and then subtracting them at the other end. The center is made slightly wider with the insertion of garter stitches. The cable pattern has a medieval air to it so I named the scarf Genevieve after the medieval saint. She was patroness of Paris and defended the city against Attila the Hun through her rational thinking courage and prayer. Hopefully the scarf will defend you from the cold!

Size:
Finished blocked measurements: Scarf: Length: 51”129.5 cm. End Width: 3.5”/9 cm. Center Width: 5”/12.5 cm.

Materials:
Yarn: Spirit Trail Fireworks Birte, 75% merino, 15% cashmere goat, 10% silk; 275 yds/251 m per 110g skein; color: Dark-Eyed Junco. Scarf: 1 skein.

Needles: Size 4/3.5mm needles, or size to obtain gauge.
Other: Stitch markers, tapestry needle.
Gauge: 20 sts and 28 rows = 4”/10 cm in Garter Stitch.

Notes:
This scarf is made end to end. The different elements are added one at a time, after the center is completed they are decreased one at a time.

Errata: There is an error on the Cable Set Up chart and Cable End chart. On row 12 stitch#11&17 these should have the purl dot in the center like the ones on row 13 stitch #12&16. And this symbol is not in the key.
It is p tbl on RS and k tbl on WS.

On the Cable End Chart: In row 1, the 5 stitch bobble symbol is missing in stitches 8 and 20.
In row 17, should stitches 8 & 9 should be purl stitches rather than p2tog tbl.

The Cable Chart is correct!
