Like the shawl of the same name the journey through this cowl begins with a squishy garter stitch tube, moves into twirling cables and finishes off with a cable and lace border reminiscent of open arms awaiting a hug.

A quick and easy cowl which can be knit from a single ball of Stylecraft Dream Catcher or similar self-striping or gradient yarn to produce a wonderfully soft and light cowl.

The long garter stitch tube with the slightly flared bottom means it fits more closely under the chin and gently tapers out to keep the back of your neck and shoulders warm, just like a gentle hug.

Gauge isn’t important, but the choice of yarn and needles will affect yarn yardage so please do bear this in mind when selecting your yarn
