This pattern was designed with people very new to knitting in mind. My daughter wanted a simple accessory to wear in the colder weather. I also wanted to design something for those new to knitting in mind. Many patterns marketed as beginner are too hard or too boring.

Never done a cable before? This is perfect! There is just one cable row so is great for a first try. If you can cast on, cast off, knit and purl then you can make this headband. You will be amazed how easy it is to achieve the fantastic wave effect at the front!

If you aren’t new to knitting this project would also be perfect for you. It is a quick and fun knit. You could complete it in just one evening in front of the TV with less than a 50g ball of yarn. And the finished headbands make great gifts!

Pattern includes instructions for sizes from extra small to extra large. I have included instructions for seaming or provisional cast on. If this technique is new to you, don’t be put off! I have included some handy video links to help you.

All you need is up to 50g of yarn, 5.5mm/size 9 needles, a cable needle and a sewing needle and you are good to go!
