GEOFFREY THE PENGUIN KNITTING PATTERN

Cuddle up with Geoffrey the Penguin cushion.

THE PATTERN INCLUDES: Row numbers for each step so you don’t lose your place, instructions for making the penguin, a list of abbreviations and a materials list. The pattern is 3 pages and written in English.

TECHNIQUES: All pieces are knitted flat on a pair of straight knitting needles. Techniques used include increases, decreases and seaming. The penguin uses intarsia colour work to make his tummy, and knitted stripes for the head.

YARN, NEEDLES AND NOTIONS INCLUDE:

  • A pair of straight 3.75mm knitting needles (US 5)
  • DK acrylic yarns (double knitting or light worsted weight); less than 100g in each colour. I used a yarn that had sequins in it for a bit of sparkle, but any acrylic DK can be used.
  • Toy filling
  • Buttons and white felt fabric for eyes
