A beautiful vintage style cape, which can made in many varieties. It is perfect for parties, but can spice up an everyday outfit as well. The wide stripes are knitted in brioche stitch, the narrow stripes in garter stitch.

One size - length 44 cm

Yardage

Yarn A (wide stripes): 200 g Pura Lana or Loden or Chunky Knit Mohair
+
Yarn B (narrow stripes):
1) Kid Seta (worked with two strands): 2 balls of 25 g
or
2) Kid Seta: 1 ball of 25 g + Cashmere Lace: 1 hank of 25 g.
Work with one strand of each yarn.
or
3) Shine Bright: 3 balls of 25 g + Kid Seta: 1 ball of 25 g.
Work with one strand of each yarn.

Needles
3.5 and 8 mm circular needles 80 cm (Koshitsu bamboo from Seeknit).

Gauge
13 sts and 18 rows in stockinette stitch with 8 mm needles and one strand of Pura Lana/Loden/Chunky Knit Mohair = 10 x 10 cm.

Measure in stockinette st, as it is tricky to measure brioche stitch.
If your gauge doesn’t match, adjust your needle size.
