Knitting Pattern for a Loose Cardigan with a Deep V-neck and Colourful Statement Stripes and Balloon-Sleeves in Sizes XS | S | M (L | XL | 2XL) 3XL | 4XL | 5XL

Structure:
The cardigan is worked in stockinette stitch top down with raglan increases. The body is worked back and forth in rows and the sleeves are worked in the round. Along the four raglan lines, increases are worked to shape the yoke. Additionally, in every other right side row, you will work increases along the front panels to shape the V-neck. To ensure a good fit around the upper arm, the raglan increases along the sleeves are left out for a few sizes after a couple of centimeters. Then, the sleeves are separated from the body and put on hold on another rope/leftover yarn and the body is finished in stockinette stitch. After the 4th/5th statement stripe, the stitches are bound off with an i-cord-edging in a contrasting colour. Afterwards, the neckline and the front parts are finished off with an i-cord-edging in the same contrast colour as well. Then, the sleeve stitches are picked up again and the sleeves are worked in stockinette stitch in the round and in statement stripes. Shortly before the cuffs, a bunch of decreases is worked for a balloon-like sleeve shape. The final length of the cardigan is relatively short. The fit is neutral to loose around the bust. Individual adaptions to the length are generally possible by adding another statement stripe to the body/sleeves, but due to the large pattern repeat, there is not much range for fine adjustments.
