Gerri holds a special place in my design history… she’s one of the very first hats I ever put out into the world, and I’m so happy to say she still knits up just as sweetly today as she did back then. If you’ve ever wanted to try your hand at knitting in the round, this is the perfect place to start.

This is a seamless beanie worked from the brim up on a circular needle, so there’s no sewing or seaming when you’re done, just a cozy finished hat straight off your needles. A simple eyelet lace and purl stitch pattern gives the body just enough texture to feel special, without asking too much of a first-time (or first-in-a-while) knitter.
