What is spooooookier than knitting a pair of socks? These little ghosties are a fun way to add a bit of halloween to your outfit while keeping your toes toasty.

Sizes:
S (M, L) are for 7” (8”, 9”) or 18 (20, 23) cm circumference socks. These socks are intended to use 0.5-1” (1.3-2.5 cm) of negative ease. Measure around the ball of the foot.

Yarn requirements:
Main Color: Approximately 250-400 yards (72-100 grams) Fingering weight sock yarn.
Contrast Color: Approximately 50 yards (10 grams) Fingering weight sock yarn.
Optional: Mohair for reinforcing heels and toes, Approximately 50 yards.

Needles:
US size #1 (2.25 mm) 30’’ or longer circular needles for magic loop, or needles needed to get gauge. Any sock knitting method can be used.
Optional for colorwork: US size #2 (2,75 mm) needles. I prefer 9’’ circulars for this purpose.

Gauge:
8 stitches = 1 inch in stockinette stitch, swatch MC with smaller needles.

Notions:
Scissors, 3 removable stitch markers, tapestry needle.

Notes:
This pattern is written to be knit with the magic loop method, however any sock knitting method may be used.
I recommend sizing up 1 needle for the colorwork portion only.
Optional mohair is added as reinforcement to heels and toes it is held double with the MC and no other changes are made.
