Gigantica is a large shawl knit sure to keep you warm and cozy. The pattern is contains 6 easy to follow Shetland charted sections combined with designer written tips and extra directions. This shawl was designed with the beginner lace knitter in mind cleverly using garter (knit every row) stitch, and fingerling weight yarn. This knit-along will come to you in 3 parts. The first part of the pattern will be released via Ravelry.com & WhimsicalYarn.com on Sunday, November 4th, with the 2nd part following on November 18. On November 25th you will receive a special BONUS pattern for a tam style vintage hat to complete your ensemble. You will need: Size 2 circular needles 24 - 32”, 2 stitch markers, optional dental floss/life line yarn, 1200-1250 yards of fingering/sock weight yarn for the shawl & 200 yards for the bonus hat.
