I hope you enjoy making this darling little groundhog. It stands about 3 inches tall using worsted weight yarn. It has a special shadow so you can have fun on Groundhog Day (Feburary 2nd) and see if he sees his shadow or not!

Error found on 1/28/16. Round 20 of body should be:
Round 20: Sc2tog Repeat 7 more times (8)

I have made mine working in the back loops only (BLO).

Materials:

G crochet hook – or a hook size that will allow you to crochet a firm fabric without gaps.

Sample made in worsted weight (Vanna’s Choice in Toffee and Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn in Almond, Brown and Black) - approx 60 to 90 yards total to complete this pattern.

Tapestry Needle, Scissors, and Stitch marker

Craft eyes (suggested 12 mm or embroider them on)
