The sleeves of Gillam are knit in the round from the cuff to the armhole, then divided and the sleeve cap is worked back and forth and then seamed into the body during finishing. The body is knit from the bottom up in one piece to the armholes. The front and back are divided and worked separately and joined at the shoulders using a three-needle bind-off. The neckband is then picked up and worked in rounds.
