Ginette est un petit béret texturé, à la fois élégant et facile à porter, inspiré de la mode des années 1940.
Il s’agit d’un béret qui se tricote en 2 parties. Il se construit d’abord avec une bande de motif de petites fleurs en bouton sur point mousse. Ensuite, on relève des mailles tout au long d’un côté de cette bande de point mousse fantaisie, et on ferme en rond pour tricoter le reste du béret perpendiculairement à cette bande.
Le béret est proposé en 3 tailles adulte.

Tailles du béret : tour de tête

Fil / Laine :
Épaisseur : Fingering tenu en double pour obtenir un calibre DK
Quantité : 150- 200 -265 mètres au total.
Astuce : 2 possibilités pour tricoter le fil de l’écheveau tenu en double. Soit en séparant l’écheveau en 2 pelotes de poids égal, soit en tricotant la pelote à la fois avec le fil intérieur et le fil extérieur à l’aide d’un bouton pour éviter de former des nœuds dans la pelote.

Échantillons :
Motif texturé sur jersey envers – aig 4 mm : 10x10 cm = 20 m. x 28 r.
Motif de fleur en bouton – aig 4 mm : 1 motif = 2 cm en hauteur

Aiguilles :
Circulaires 60 et 80 cm
Diamètre 4 mm
Adapter le diamètre des aiguilles en fonction de l’échantillon obtenu.

• Motif de « boutons en fleur » sur point mousse d’après le motif n°245 de Hitomi Shida
• Point texturé : motif de chenilles verticales en mailles torse sur jersey envers

Construction:
Ginette est un béret tricoté en circulaire du bas vers le haut à partir d’une bande frontale.
On commence par tricoter la bande frontale composée d’un motif fantaisie de fleurs en bouton sur point mousse. Cette bande frontale est fermée à l’aide d’un rabat à 3 aiguilles.
Ensuite, on relève les mailles sur un des côtés du bandeau pour tricoter perpendiculairement le corps du béret dans un point texturé sur jersey envers.
Enfin, on réalise la couronne du béret en jersey envers en réalisant des diminutions penchées à gauche.
Le béret se referme simplement en passant le fil dans les mailles restantes à l’aide d’une aiguille à laine.

Ginette is an elegant and easy to wear textured beret, inspired by 1940s fashion.
It is worked in two parts: first, a band of textured flowers buttons over garter stitch, then stitches are picked up on one side before closing to work in the round, to work the rest of the beret perpendicularly from the textured band.
The pattern is graded for 3 adult sizes.

Sizing: head circumference

Fingering weight yarn worked double to get a DK gauge
Meterage: 150- 200 -265 meters in total.
Tip: To work two strands from the same skein, either separate the skein into two cakes of the same weight, or work with the inside and outside strands, threaded through a button to avoid knots.

Gauge:
Reverse stockinette textured pattern – 4 mm needles: 10x10 cm = 20 stitches x 28 rows.
Flower motif – 4 mm needles: 1 motif = 2 cm high

Needles:
60 and 80 cm circular needles
4 mm or size needed to obtain gauge.

Stitches used:

• « Flower button » pattern over garter stitch from pattern n°245 by Hitomi Shida
• Textured pattern: vertical chenille pattern in twisted stitches on reverse stockinette

Construction:
Ginette is worked in the round from bottom to top.
First a frontal band is worked, with a pattern of flower buttons over a garter stitch background. The band is closed with a three needle bind off.
Then stitches are picked up on one side of the band to work the rest of the beret perpendicularly from the frontal band, in a textured pattern over reverse stockinette stitch.
The crown is worked in reverse stockinette stitch with left leaning decreases.
The beret is closed by threading the yarn into the remaining stitches with a darning needle.

The photographed sample is worked in size 2 with the Nomadnoss kit: High Mountain Yack, fingering weight held double, in the Velvet Cake colorway.
