Another lacy hat for the summer!

The Ginger hat is knitted in rounds with a simple lace stitch, the same as my Sussie scarf. I love the stitch so much, I want to make a hat with it. Instead of lace all the way, I use horizontal panels of plain knit stitches to break the lace pattern.

The contrasting stitches also compliment each other, however the lace stitches are slightly wider than the knit ones. To make it even and smooth, I increase and decrease in the knit panels to compensate.

For this hat I use a dk weight cotton yarn in natural white for a real light and breezy summer feel.
