The popular colorblock unisex Gingersnap Cardigan for babies is now available for bigger kids too! I’ve knit mine with three colors of Rowan Pure Wool Worsted, but this is meant to be a real scrappy sweater and as long as you make gauge and use a soft, machine-washable yarn, you can be thrifty and raid your stash using 3, 4, 5 or more colors. The color possibilities are endless and I can’t wait to see what you come up with! If you would like a summer sweater, or if your little one won’t wear wool, I suggest Rowan Handknit Cotton. It will give you gauge and is machine washable and very hardy yet very soft.

Yarn: Rowan Pure Wool Superwash Worsted,
219 yards per skein, 1 (1, 2, 2, 2) skeins of color
A (#133 Gold), and 1 skein each of color B (#111
Granite), and color C (#102 Soft Cream)

Pattern also includes a bonus 6 mos. size knit in DK weight.
