Similar in look to Byron’s Snoodana for Greyhounds but for those knitters that prefer working on straight needles, this version has the decorative increases running through the centre.

The lower bandana section is totally interchangeable with Byron’s if you prefer the increases near the outer edges.

Commence knitting at the lowest tip and increase toward the ears. You will reach a point where you cast-on additional stitches and then continue with ribbing.

Written as one size fits most (greyhounds and similar sized sighthounds) but adjustable for other breeds and sizes.

Yarn choices vary but is written for DK though you may wish to use two strands of sockweight yarn.

Yarn
72 metres used in sample.

Gauge
I have not given gauge - I expect that you will know if you are a loose or tight knitter.

Needles
4mm straight but recommend using a size or two smaller needle if you consider using worsted weight yarn. DK is in more common use in Australia.

Notions
One detachable stitch marker - optional
Tapestry needle for sewing in ends
Measuring tape
