A simple winter bandana to suit a medium-large sized greyhound but easily altered to suit dogs of many sizes. This project is knit back and forth and only joined after all knitting is complete, using the yarn tail left from binding off.

Though gauge has been added above, this pattern can be worked in all yarn weights to suit the size of the animal - tiny dogs are better suited to lace weight or sock weight yarn with appropriate sized needles.

This is a greyt way to use up yarn leftovers from other projects. Please see my sample projects to show possible variations.

Notions
One stitch marker
Measuring tape
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Skills required
Work knit front & back increases; basic striping colourwork

Colour 1 (C1) is perfect for using multicoloured or long-colour changing yarns.
Colour 2 (C2) should contrast well with C1.
As mentioned above, please see my earliest completed projects for ideas.

Many thanks to my muse for her modelling work. Wonderful things can be achieved when offering treats.
