The inspiration for these socks started with the beautiful Ginny colorway from Nomadic Yarns. All of Nomadic Yarns colorways are gorgeous, but her Harry Potter colorways are very hard for me to resist. This pattern is knit top-down in the round, and features interesting colorwork and an afterthought heel.

The sock begins with a twisted rib cuff in the background color. Then a simple colorwork pattern emerges before shifting into simple stockinette stitch in self-striping yarn. An afterthought heel can be worked before or after completing the rest of the sock. The technique used for this heel results in no gaps at the heels! A photo tutorial is included in the pattern, and I’ve included links to video tutorials that I created for both the heel and for grafting.

This pattern has been tested and tech edited.
