Gioia is a buttoned cardigan worked back and forth with saddle shoulders and raglan increases from the top down. The body and the sleeves are knitted in Stockinette stitch with a lace panel on both fronts. The shoulders are shaped with some short rows and increases. Then the yoke is worked with increases for body and sleeves to the armholes. After this section is completed, sleeves stitches are place on hold and the body is knitted in a single piece. Then each sleeve is picked up around the armholes and worked in the round from the armhole to the cuff.
The lace is charted only.

  • US 3 / 3, 25 mm and US 6 / 4 mm circular needles or size to obtain the correct gauge
  • Stitch markers, stitch holders or scrap yarn, tapestry needle, 6 to 8 buttons (0,5”/15mm)

Gioia est un gilet boutonné qui se tricote du haut vers le bas en aller-retour en commençant par le col. L’empiècement se tricote par étapes avec des augmentations pour le raglan et quelques rangs raccourcis. Après avoir réalisé la séparation des manches, le corps (dos, devants et bande de boutonnage) est travaillé, depuis les emmanchures, en une seule pièce. Les manches seront ensuite reprises et tricotées en rond jusqu’aux poignets.

Aisance conseillée : 5 à 10 cm d’aisance positive.

Echantillon : 21 m et 30 rangs en jersey pour un carré de 10 cm de côté avec les aiguilles 4 mm ou autre taille d’aiguilles pour obtenir l’échantillon

Laine et matériels : Le gilet se tricote avec avec une mélange de 2 fils (fingering et lace). Il est possible également d’utiliser un seul fil de laine de type DK.

  • 870 (900, 950, 1050, 1200) (1350,1480, 1590, 1730) m de chaque fil ou un seul fil de laine de type DK.
  • Aiguilles circulaires ou double-pointes 3, 25 mm et 4 mm pour le corps et les manches (ou taille adaptée à votre échantillon)
  • Anneaux marqueurs, aiguille à laine, porte mailles ou brin de laine afin de laisser les mailles en attente, 6 à 8 boutons de 15 mm de diamètre
