This is the pattern for a giraffe appliqué. I do have this pattern available for free on my website if you would prefer that option. The link is down below, but I’ve made it available for people to download as well for $1 on Ravelry.

There is also a video tutorial for the pattern available on my YouTube channel at Crochet Giraffe Tutorial.

I’ve used 4 ply cotton and a 1.25mm crochet hook but you can use different sizes depending on what you’re most comfortable with.

  • I used yellow, brown and black 4 ply crochet cotton.

  • A crochet hook, I used a 1.25mm hook.

  • A sewing needle.

  • Sewing thread to stitch the giraffe together.

  • Scissors.

  • A darning needle to weave in the ends.

  • Black and white sewing or embroidery cotton for the dot on the eyes and the mouth.
