This miniature framed piece is modeled after Johannes Vermeer’s Girl With A Pearl Earring. It is the fifth famous artwork recreation in a series called “Pixel Gallery” where I have used tapestry crochet to create detailed mini masterpieces. Vermeer is a great introductory pattern to tapestry crochet miniatures as it has fewer color changes than some of the other artworks.

You could create a mini gallery of your own, turn it into a bag charm or stitch it to your favourite canvas tote!

The pattern uses tapestry crochet techniques and has both chart and written form so you can work with whatever format is comfortable for your skill level.

This pattern is written in US terms and is comprised of a detailed 11-page PDF with detailed instructions and many photos to help guide you through making. There are also links to videos demonstrating some of the techniques required for this pattern.
