A Valentine’s ponytail hat for girls! This fun hat knits up fast, just in time for Valentine’s Day. Buttons let her wear her ponytail high, low, or in between. Two sizes let you knit for all your girls.

Difficulty level: Beginner. The hat is worked flat in one piece; no seams, no picking up stitches. Just knit and purl stitches are used. Cute hearts are worked in stranded knitting - manageable for even someone new to color changes.

Yarn selection: The hat will use about 90 - 120 yards of main color and 18 - 25 yards contrast color, aran-weight yarn (gauge 18 sts to 4”/ 10 cm). Solid or tonal yarns will allow the colorwork pattern to show the best.
