The Gitchi-Gami collection was inspired by hikes along the Gitchi-Gami State Trail in northern Minnesota and through the parks that line the shore. To me, the colors evoke the birch and aspen trees, their spring leaves, the blue sky, and the depth of the lake. My hope is that they will remind you of moments in wilderness, as they do me.

Finished mitten is 7.5 inches in circumference and 10.5 inches from edge to tip. Ribbing accounts for 2.5 inches of length.

This pattern is suitable for the knitter with experience reading a chart and stranded colorwork.

I used one skein each of Lochan, Garth, Stockiemuir, Tarbet, Smirr, Hirst, and Horseback Brown. If you would like to make the coordinating tam, you will need an extra skein of Lochan.
