My name is “Pay It Forward”. I will stay with you through out the year as a reminder to keep the Holiday Spirit in your heart always. The Giving Elf spreads love and hope to everyone.

Supplies:
#10 crochet thread:
Color #1: 1 ball red – upper body/arms, legs/stripes
Color #2: 1 ball white – legs/stripes
Color #3: 1 ball peach/tan (skin tone)– Head
Color #4: 1 ball green – hat, shoes, vest, shorts
4/2.0 mm hook
Fiber fill (Stuff Elf as you complete sections)
3 small bells for hat tip (optional 2 bells – 1 each shoe toe area)
2 eyes; safety – 8 mm for #10 thread (optional) can paint eyes/facial features
Embroidery thread for mouth
Fairy jar necklace (small bottle with glitter inside – for Good Luck - optional)
Small teddy bear (to hold in arms - optional)
Holly berries/leaf – for hat (optional)
4 buttons; arms/legs attachment for movement (see assembly instructions)
Facial features: Lashes, eye brows – painted on – can add fake
eye lashes
Mouth – embroidered or painted on
Eyes 9 mm – row 10 (head) 6 spaces in
between eyes
Nose – center between eyes (even spaces
between nose & eye) Rows 12 – 15
NOTE: for facial features you can use; paint, embroidery, felting, safety eyes, pastel chalks, safety eyes (size depends on thread/yarn size used)

Stitches and Terms
Magic Circle (can do ch 2 and crochet in 2nd ch from hook)
Sc – single crochet
Hdc – half double crochet
Dc – double crochet
Trb – treble stitch
Sl St – slip stitch
Sc “X” Spaces – sc in the number of spaces
“X” sc next space – crochet number of stitches in next single space
Inc – increase by two stitches next single space
Dec – decrease by combining 2 spaces into 1 stitch
