Glass Cozy
Give your empty tomato sauce jars a new life with this lovely Glass Cozy!
Instead of throwing out the glass jars, upcycle them into a perfect gift with this textured crochet cozy designed specifically to fit these classic glass jars. The pattern uses tall, firm stitches which works up quickly and makes a clean finish.
The Glass Cozy is a simple, satisfying project that turns everyday packaging into something intentionally handmade — perfect for using up scrap yarn and reducing waste in a creative way.
Skill level: Confident Beginner who knows the basic stitches like treble crochet
Yarn: Worsted / Aran (approx. ½ ball)
Size: One size that fits Mutti & Dolmio jars
Pattern includes: Written pattern and video tutorial of the stitch that is used
For this pattern you will need an empty glass jar. I used tomato sauce jars, like Mutti and Dolmio.
OPTIONAL: To attach the top to the lid, you can use hot glue. It will make the lid easier to use. After the lid has dried, give the project a small piece of t-shirt yarn and tie it as a bow, and it will give the glass cozy a finishing touch.
