Fisherman used to crochet fishing nets. Far back in time, people crocheted reeds and grasses, animal skins and sinew. I’m not going to recommend that last one, but the fact remains that if a material is flexible enough, it can be crocheted--and the results can be stunning.

Crocheting with wire can be as complex or as simple as you like. To be perfectly honest, this was my first adventure with it, and I immediately made bracelets and necklaces for all my friends and family. It feels very different, but the basic principles remain the same--it’s a bit like attempting to write with your non-dominant hand (though much easier than that). Stretch an unused muscle and make your brain work a bit as you try something new.
