JUNI 2021: Oppskriften er nå tilgjengelig på norsk!

Please use v3 if you are going to knit this scarf. It corrects stitch count errors and improves the readability of the chart from the previous 2 versions.

This thread in the NewNorwegian group is intended to help with issues related to the pattern.

Gleipnir is a scarf with ruffles and true lace. Despite patterning being worked on both sides, it is more straightforward than it may appear at first.

The scarf can be easily resized both in length and width. Instructions for these modifications are given in the pattern.

The sample scarf was knitted in laceweight, but the design would also work well with a fingering weight yarn.

This scarf is part of my series Among the Æsir, a collection of accessories named for the Norse gods and their world. Gleipnir is an unbreakable chain that the gods commissioned from the dwarves in order to bind the wolf Fenrir. When Fenrir saw this new binding, he laughed, for Gleipnir looked like a silk ribbon; but it will hold him tight until Ragnarök, the end of the world.
