Glenfinnan Scarf
This pattern is a ‘friendly’ lace, known as old shale, only one in four rows require any patterning!
If you end up with an extra stitch, or minus one, at the end of a lace row you can either take the row back or… make it disappear by making one or decreasing before you get to the next lace row, I won’t tell if you don’t!
The wool also helps by changing colour as you knit through the ball, so it looks like you have changed colour all the time! Don’t worry if the colour changes halfway through a row, it’s a ‘design feature’!
Happy crafting,
Jam
