This pattern has only one row repeat! If you end up with an extra stitch, or minus one, at the end of a row you can either take the row back or… Make it disappear by making one or decreasing one, I won’t tell if you don’t!

The wool also helps by changing colour as you crochet through the ball, so it looks like you have changed colour all the time! Don’t worry if the colour changes halfway through a row, it’s a ‘design feature’.

This pattern is written in American crochet terminology, for British substitute dc for treble crochet.

If you are substituting yarn I recommend a self striping DK weight or if you are using another yarn weight use a hook one size bigger than recommended, giving the scarf a nice drape.
