This is an incredibly easy and adaptive pattern. You can make it longer or narrower, taller or shorter. You just will need to adjust the cast on count by multiples of 8 and/or change the number of repeats. This works up quickly for gifting and is easy enough to do while chatting with your family or watching TV.
