Capturing the shifting colors and textures of the changing seasons, Glimpses of Autumn is designed to maximize the effect of a gradient yarn paired with a contrasting solid. The shawl is asymmetrical, worked from one corner into a kite shape. Stripes of double crochet and lace are juxtaposed with leaf motifs in tapestry crochet, highlighting the color changes. Use a single sock blank, as in the sample shown, or pair this pattern with a set of mini skeins to illuminate the various stitch patterns.

Pattern has been tech edited and tested. Tapestry crochet is charted; all other directions are written.
