This pattern, while based on the measurements of the Quick Climate Change scarf to display the effects of rising temperatures over the last 100 years, uses leaf designs to indicate decades. It looks best in a green to brown colourway to represent climate change caused droughts that lead to increasing vegetation death. The transition to yellow could also represent growth in high carbon environment but with insufficient nutrients.

This chart, of a stylised leaf shape, suits fingering yarns and has been knitted in cotton for a summer weight scarf. I encourage you to modify the design to create leaves that are native to your area.

To help with size adjustment, note that the length will be approximately 10 times the length of your leaf.

I have also provided a list of other Ravelry leaf patterns that may also be suitable to make using a global temperature climate colourway.
