Globular Springtail
Create your own adorable globular springtail with this beginner-friendly NO-sew pattern! The globular springtails are one of my favorite species and I’ve always wished I had one big enough to hold. With this pattern, you can bring this dream to life!
This is a digital download PDF file of the pattern so no physical item will be mailed to you.
I’ve included two versions of the pattern with and without pictures. Both include written step-by-step instructions
For the instructions, I used #4 worsted-weight medium yarn so that the stitches would be easily visible. Feel free to use whatever yarn you are more comfortable with.
The pattern is written in US term crochet shorthand and utilizes the following:
– Magic ring / magic circle
– Single crochet
– Working in Front Loop Only and Back Loop only
– Increase (two single crochet stitches in the same hole)
– Invisible decrease (decrease stitch using just the front loops)
– Slip stitch join
– Slip stitch
– Chains (creating and working in chains)
Materials needed:
– Your choice of yarn
– A crochet hook
– Stitch marker (optional but helpful!)
– Darning needle /blunt sewing needle: This pattern doesn’t require sewing, but using a blunt sewing needle helps in hiding yarn tails.
– Poly-fill stuffing
– Safety eyes (oblong/oval reflect the species. I used a smooth nose for my eyes!)
Please note: Safety eyes are small components that may be considered a choking hazard. Not recommended for small children.
Alternatively, you could embroider the eyes!
This is an original pattern created by me. Feel free to reach out if you need any help or have questions. If I can make the pattern more accessible to you (i.e. larger font, different font, etc) let me know and I will make adjustments for you.
You are more than welcome to sell the amigurunmi plushies you create using the pattern but you cannot resell or share the pattern or any parts of it.
When selling the product of my pattern, please include “made with a pattern by Crafts with Pudge” or something similar.
