This cardigan is worked from the bottom up. It starts with a ribbed hem, after which a textured stitch pattern is worked across the body. The body is worked in one piece up to the armholes, where the fronts and back are separated. A number of sts are cast on to create the uppermost part of the sleeve for a drop shoulder construction. The back and the front pieces are finished separately.

The shoulders are joined with a Three-
Needle Bind-Off. Stitches for the button band are picked up and the button band is worked flat along the back of the neck and the fronts. Lastly, stitches for the sleeves are picked up along the armhole edges and the sleeves are worked in the round to the ribbed cuff.
