Glow Gnomes
GLOW GNOMES
Gnomes and candlelight are simply a must for winter decor. Why not try combining the two? :)
The gnomes come in three sizes and make a cute set.
An LED tealight makes the gnomes’ hats glow and adds even more coziness to your winter decor.
Crocheted with Sport weight yarn, a standard LED tealight fits under the gnomes’ hats.
If you use heavier yarn, the gnomes will be bigger, so you can also use LED fairy lights.
Give it a try! :)
All steps are explained in detail in words and pictures, so this pattern is suitable for (practiced) beginners as well.
This pattern contains 11 pages of crochet instructions and 10 additional pages of detailed step-by-step instructions.
Used techniques (US crochet terms): magic ring, chain, slip stitch, single crochet, changing yarn-color, crocheting in the back loops and front loops, increases, (invisible) decreases.
The gnomes are crocheted in continuous rounds/spirals as well as back and forth in rows.
With 2.0 & 3.0 mm hooks and Sport weight yarn the gnomes get to be 12 x 6 cm, 11 x 6 cm and 10 x 6 cm big (height x width).
You need it smaller or bigger? No problem! Simply use lighter or heavier yarn.
A standard sized LED tealight won’t fit then anymore though.
