The GLOW socks are the little sister design to the GLOW sweater, which was originally published in LAINE magazine No. 25. Leftover Mondim yarn from the sweater inspired me to design matching socks.

Worked cuff-down, the socks start with a 2x2 ribbing, followed by an optional round of bobbles. The leg features a lace pattern and the heel is shaped using a classic gusset and heel flap construction (including a slip stitch heel flap for extra heel strength). The lace pattern continues across the foot, while the sole is worked in plain stockinette, finishing with decreases for the toe.

Die GLOW socks sind die kleine Schwester des GLOW sweater, der ursprünglich in Ausgabe 25 des LAINE-Magazins veröffentlicht wurde. Reste des Garns Mondim, das ich für den Pullover verwendet hatte, haben mich zu einem passenden Sockendesign inspiriert.

Die Socken beginnen am Bündchen mit einem 2x2-Rippenmuster, gefolgt von einer optionalen Runde Noppen. Über den Schaft verläuft ein Lacemuster und die Ferse ist eine klassische Käppchenferse (ein Hebemaschenmuster an der Fersenwand macht sie besonders robust). Das Lacemuster wird über den Spann fortgesetzt, während die Sohle einfach glatt rechts gestrickt wird, bis zu den Abnahmen für die Bandspitze.
