GNOME

An awesome eyecatcher – no matter if in classical green or red, or colorful pink, blue or yellow. I‘m sure an all-colors scrap-yarn creation will look just as great…

The hat‘s knot is practical especially for the big doorstop version. It‘s very easy to grab and replace the gnome. The smaller Sport weight yarn variant just looks cute with it.

No sewing! The gnome is done as one piece. No parts need to be sewn on top of each other or on to each other in the end.

All steps are explained in detail in words and pictures, so this pattern is suitable for beginners as well.
This pattern contains 18 pages of crochet instructions and 19 pages of detailed step-by-step instructions.

Used techniques (US crochet terms): magic ring, chain, slip stitch, single crochet, increases and (invisible) decreases, crocheting in front loops and back loops – explained, changeing yarn-color.
The figures are crocheted in continuous rounds/spirals.

With DK yarn and a 3.0 mm hook the Gnome gets to be 24 cm wide and 35 cm tall.
With Sport weight yarn and a 2.0 mm hook it gets to be 16 cm wide and 26 cm tall.

You need it smaller or bigger? No problem! Simply use lighter or heavier yarn.
