This pattern download includes a picture chart as well as row by row instructions.

Colors used are included in the pattern download.
The chart graph is 80 x 100 boxes. My finished blanket measured 48” x 68”

Gauge is not entirely necessary. Just make sure you use appropriate hook for the yarn you choose.

I used HDC C2C method to create the blanket. I use over 4 skeins of red and roughly one skein of each of the other colors with a 5.5mm hook.

I chose to use Hobby Lobby I love this yarn in solid colors. The heart in the middle is with I love this yarn metallic in red.

You can switch up the yarn and hook for this pattern. Use whatever you wish.
