Small with a little bit of fun shaping and a picot cast off. This little bag reminds me of its namesake the Gnome!

Knit from the bottom up, this little bag will hold approximately two sets of dice or 11 mini dice sets! This bag is great if you are a unicorn and own one set of dice that you want to keep safe OR if you have a million dice sets and want to sort them out into colour coded bags (I recommend mini skeins for this. You should be able to get two bags from one 20g mini skein of fingering weight yarn).

For this pattern you will need:

  • Approx 34-40m of fingering weight yarn
  • Set of 2.75mm double pointed needles
  • Stitch marker (you can find suitably themed d20 dice set ones in my etsy shop I Cast Mending)
  • Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Purple sample is shown in Dyed by Hand Tough Stocking in Purple Smoke Bush and the green is Knit Picks Stroll Fingering Tonal in mountain pass.

The gauge of this pattern is flexible which means you can technically knit this in any yarn weight! You just ensure your stitches are compact enough to not let dice poke through. Heavier yarns should result in bigger bags and lighter yarns will result in smaller bags.
