Introduction: This hat is for the humans of those dogs who want to go outside and play, no matter the weather. With stranded dogs chasing diamonds around the crown, the Go Fetch Hat is the perfect accessory for wearing to the dog park in the winter, or even just out for a short walk around the neighborhood. I originally designed this for my husband in the body type of our mixed-breed rescue pup, the brown dog he calls his best friend.

Materials:
Yarn:
Two colors of wool sport weight yarn, or yarn to match gauge. A skein of each color will knit any size. If using scrap yarn or mini skeins, allow approximately 60 g for MC and 20 g for CC.
Sample uses MC: 110 yards (50g) of Madelinetosh Tosh Sport in Well Water and CC: 50 yards (16g) of Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Sport in Fedora.

Needles:
US 5 (3.75mm) in 16” (40cm) circular cable
US 5 (3.75mm) in DPNs or magic loop
US 3 (3.25mm) in 16” (40cm) circular cable

Notions: Stitch markers, Tapestry needle

Gauge:
23sts / 28 rounds = 4” (10 cm) square in stranded colorwork using larger needles

Sizes:
XS (S, M, L) to fit heads of 19.5” (21”, 22.5”, 24”). To choose a size, please measure the recipient’s head. Sizes are meant to be an approximate fit for child (teen, adult woman, adult man). Modification for slouch style can be achieved through adding repeats of small charts.
