This is my Thanksgiving Turkey pattern for “Gobbles The Turkey”!
I rate him a intermediate pattern due to different stitches used as well as there is sewing parts together.
I used a 3.25mm clover hook which is equivalent to a 2.75mm steel hook. If you decide to use a different size hook, just know that this will change the size of your finished turkey. Also if you use a different weight of yarn the size will also change. I used a 4 weight/worsted weight yarn. If you use a thinner or thicker yarn just be sure to use the appropriate hook size so that your Turkey doesn’t have holes.
Supplies that you will need: you will need yarn, 2 stitch markers, poly filling, scissors, a sharp and a blunt sewing yarn needle, and the optional poly beads. (The optional poly beads is just to add weight to your Turkey so he sits good and heavy).
As for yarn; the yarn I used the most of was the brown and the grey, but I didn’t use a whole skein. So just to be sure you have enough. I suggest having a 200 yard skein handy. The red and yellow yarn I didn’t use much, less then 100 yards.
So I guess that’s it for Gobbles’s explanation. If you have any questions feel free to msg me but to reach me quicker you can join my Facebook group. It’s called: Crochet For Love! From there I can help you much quicker and you will be in the loop on future pattern releases too!
So I hope you enjoy making your own Gobbles and I do hope to see you in my Facebook group! Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
Gobble Gobble! :D
