The pattern that inspired this handspun sontag was originally published in Godey’s Lady’s Book in January 1860. Godey’s was a popular magazine for women published in Philadelphia from 1830 to 1898. This wrap keeps the modern handspinner warm and her hands free to play with fiber. Make it in Merino as shown or your favorite rare-breed wool for an extra-special project.
