I was inspired to use a single ‘aran’ fishermen’s style diamond on the back of a mitt, allowing its gently tapering width to enhance the shaping of the mitt. The insertion of lacy open-work within the cable makes these curvy mitts all the more feminine.

For the cream-colored mitts, I chose a luxury fingering weight yarn with a bit of cashmere. These mitts have a daintily short, 2½” 6.5 cm, cuff.

The gray mitts were made with a merino and silk yarn and have a 4” 10 cm cuff.

Finished Measurements
