Goes Around Comes Around is a essentially a simple striped cowl. What makes it stand out is the use of brioche knitting to subtly soften the stripes and give the illusion of one color fading into the next. It is an extremely versatile knit that can be made in any size—slim enough to fit a child or wide enough to be worn like an infinity scarf. It all depends of the number of stitches you choose to cast on.

Gauge
Gauge is not essential to this project, but a sample swatch is recommended to determine the number of stitches you wish to cast on.

Materials

Yarn
You will need three colors of fingering weight yarn for this project. Speckled yarn is recommended to assist in the fade illusion, but tonal or solid yarns will also work well for this pattern. The amount of yarn you will need depends on how large or small you choose to make your cowl. For reference, the cowl shown in the sample photos, which
is large enough to be worn loosely by an adult man, used less than half a skein of yarn in each of the following colors:
-Color A Collier & Black Sock Yarn 75% Superwash
Merino Wool, 25% Nylon; 462 yd per 100g skein
;
color: Midnight Rider
-Color B Collier & Black Sock Yarn 75% Superwash
Merino Wool, 25% Nylon; 462 yd per 100g skein
;
color: Dunloe
-Color C Collier & Black Sock Yarn 75% Superwash
Merino Wool, 25% Nylon; 462 yd per 100g skein
;
color: Paper Moon
