I really love knitting cabled hats. It’s all of the plush texture of a sweater with a smaller time (and yarn!) commitment. And since it is knit holding worsted weight yarn held double it’ll be done in a flash!

This hat has a deep brim to show off the cables. I couldn’t decide on which crown to use…stockinette? Reverse stockinette? GARTER!? So, I included instructions for all three. The smallest size should fit an elementary school aged child. The other sizes are good for adults with varying amounts of hair. This pattern is perfect for that one special skein that you’ve been saving. All three samples are knit with Serendipitous Wool Mata.

Cable charts also include written instructions.
