Golden Ladder Socks was inspired by wooden ladders covered in beautiful lichens, with nice textured ribbing.

YARN:
Cloudborn Highland Superwash Sock Twist 50g in colour Gold ( 80% Wool 20% Polyamide | Medium Fingering weight | 4Ply | 178yds ( 163m ). But you can use any other sock yarn with a similar weight.

NEEDLES:
2.5mm ( US 1.5 )
For sample used Addi 9inch circular needles.
Tapestry needles to weave the ends in

GAUGE:
38 STS / 48 Rounds = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches, knitted in the round in stockinette stitch and blocked

SIZES:
1 (2) 3 (4). Finished Sock circumference: 17 / 22 / 27 / 32cm ( 6.7 / 8.6 / 10.6 / 12.6inch ) with roughly 2cm negative ease. Skeins of 100g sock yarn = 1 (1) 1 (2) for 1 pair of socks.
Skeins of 50g sock yarn = 2 (2) 2 (3) for 1 pair of socks.

NOTES:
The sample socks are knitted cuff down in size 1 = 54STS to fit foot size 6UK/8US. Sock weight size 1 = 70g. Socks feature “Yarn Over short row heels” and toes are closed up with Kitchener stitch. Repeat stitch pattern runs through 9STS and 4RNDS; 9 stitches = 3cm width
