Scarves are a terrific project for pet-spun yarn. They are easy to make, don’t require a lot of yarn, and because fit is not an issue, they are quite forgiving about uneven thicknesses of yarn-thus a great way to use your first petspun, which may be a bit inconsistent!
This scarf was made from Kendall’s beloved Abigail. Abby was a red Golden Retriever--the hue of an Irish Setter--and the color is exquisite. The yarn is two-ply, and the scarf is knit in Seed Stitch on large needles for a lacy effect. Although it is light, it is very warm and it looks beautiful with camel hair coat.
