ENGLISH

This sweater is knit from the top down with raglan increases. The yoke is initially worked back and forth simultaneously with a button placket along the front left raglan border for easy dressing. Once the placket is complete, the work is joined and completed in the round followed by short rows to raise the back neckline. After the armholes have been shaped, stitches are removed and set aside for the sleeves to be knit later. The body is then completed in stocking stitch with a ribbed edge. The sleeves are then completed in the round and finished with a ribbed edge.

Gauge

22 stitches x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 inches] (in stocking stitch on a 4.00 mm [US6] needle). Always check your knitting tension/gauge on a washed and dried swatch, to ensure your finished measurements will be accurate after washing. Depending on your tension, you may need to go up or down half a needle size to meet the stated gauge.

Suggested needle size

4.00 mm [US6] circular needle for yoke and body
4.00 mm [US6] circular needle or double-pointed needles for sleeves
3.50 mm [US4] circular needle and/or double-pointed needles for ribbed edges
