🕊️ Tidings of Comfort and Joy 🌲

At this time of year, I put my shawl knitting down and pay tribute to the woman who inspired me to knit. This year has been exceptionally challenging for my Mom and Dad as well as many others and they will be home alone for the holidays. With that in mind, I wanted a way to send comfort and joy to fill their home and hearts this season.

🕊 The Comfort Cowl is knit in a DK weight, I selected this merino/silk blend to be so soft and warm on her neck. The Cherry Merlot color is one of her favorite colors with deep rich shades of burgundy. The simple lace design really makes a beautiful bold design on this DK weight, but would be just as lovely knit in a fingering weight too!

🎄 A golden color of Wish You Were Beer was the perfect choice for the Joy Cowl. Again I needed that merino/silk lusciousness to keep Mom snuggly warm on these cold days ahead. A delicate lace knit up in a longer cowl to puddle beautifully around the neck or to be pulled up softly on the face when facing those bitter cold winds of winter.

Ssssshhh…….. Mom hasn’t opened her presents yet!🎁
