I found a new favourite yarn in Berlin in 2010, but as I was browsing the net to find more of it I discovered they were planning to discontinue it. I bought the scraps they had at Colinette and made this sweater as a hello and goodbye to the Iona yarn.

It is no longer possible to get the original yarn for this sweater, but Colinette Skye is very similar. Testers have encountered problems with getting gauge with other aran yarns, so bulky weight yarn with good stitch definition may be an alternative to Colinette Skye. Larger needles than 5.5 mm, as suggested in the instructions, may also be necessary to get gauge.

Here’s a link to a video on how to do the tapestry needle bind off.
